zeroStudy lists the voices your browser or device makes available for your target language. You can download more voices in your system settings.

Windows 10 / 11: Open Settings → Time & language → Speech. Under Manage voices, choose Add voices, select the language or region you want, and choose Add. Wait for the download to finish. Microsoft instructions

Android: In Settings, search for Text-to-speech output. Open the settings for your preferred engine, choose Install voice data, and download the language you want. Available voices and menu names vary by device and engine. Google instructions for Android

After downloading, return to zeroStudy → Settings → Pronunciation and select the new voice. If it is missing, reload the page or restart the browser or app. The list includes only voices available to that browser or app for your target language; some system voices may not be exposed to it.

What should I do if Netflix shows a black screen while using zeroStudy?

If Netflix shows a black screen, try turning off hardware acceleration (called “graphics acceleration” in some browser versions), then restart your browser.

Chrome: Open Settings → System, turn off “Use graphics acceleration when available”, then click Relaunch. You can also enter chrome://settings/system in the address bar to open these settings.

Edge: Enter edge://settings/system in the address bar, find and turn off graphics acceleration, then restart the browser.

After restarting, return to Netflix and try playing the video again. If you still have problems, report them on Featurebase with your operating system, browser version, and whether you can still hear audio.

Can I use zeroStudy on Disney+?

Yes. The desktop Chrome extension supports Disney+ subtitles, word lookup and saving, AI translation, and sentence navigation. The first release covers on-demand movies and series on Taiwan ad-free plans, with full dialogue and SDH/CC subtitles. Disney+ playback is not available in the mobile app. Shadowing is disabled because Disney+ seeking is not accurate enough for reliable sentence replay and automatic pauses. Sentence jumps may land a few seconds away from the target. Forced-only subtitles (occasional translated dialogue or on-screen text) and segments that reset their timeline without timing information are not supported.
